Memo to Jim Burnell
MCC "1998 Year-End Subsidence Report"
Page 2
inspection, describing in detail the character and scale of the observed
phenomena, the weather and ground conditions during the inspection, including
references by index label to the photo and artifact locations on the two maps.
Specific discussion shall be included addressing observations relating to
development and healing of the phenomena, as deduced from comparison
between subsequent inspection. The Division can provide exemplary reports
prepared by other operators, such as Cameo/Roadside, if MCC were to so
request."
A report prepared in the format of Dr. Dunrud's report will suffice to satisfy that
request.
Dr. Dunrud states that a video tape was made which compliments the ground
disturbance phenomena observations contained within the report. A copy of this
video tape or still photos prepared from frames within the video tape should be
submitted as a portion of the report. With the receipt of this video tape or still photo
frames selected to illustrate the observations referenced within the report, I
recommend the acceptance of MCC's 1998 Year-End Subsidence Report. Further,
I recommend that the Division approve this format for the preparation of MCC's
future year-end subsidence reports.
cc: Larry Routten
doc: M:\COAL\JAP\MTG11998.SUB
JP\1P
