ANNUAL RECLAMATION REPORT
FOIDEL CREEK MINE
PERMIT C-82-056
This report addresses the surface disturbances associated with
the underground mining operations conducted by Twentymile Coal
Company. TCC mines federal and private coal in Routt County,
Colorado utilizing a retreating longwall system. As such, surface
disturbances have been limited to surface support facilites
consisting of small acreages. Currently, TCC is responsible for the
disturbances consisting of the Fish Creek Borehole, Sandstones
Substation, Fish Creek Tipple, Rockdust Tank, and Surface
Facilities (shaded portions of Figure 1 which also reflect the
recent transfer of facilities from Permit C-81-071). The surface
facilities are located in and on old spoils produced by the CYCC
Mine 1 operation during the 70's, with the portals driven into the
old low wall remnant. In addition, the newer tipple facilities,
haulroads, rail spur, explosive bunkers, and coal stockpile in the
area of Pinnacle Peak have been transferred to TCC. Given that the
current disturbance is limited to those areas necessary for
operation of the mine, TCC does not anticipate any large scale
reclamation to be undertaken in the near future. At such time as
reclamation commences, TCC will follow the approved reclamation
plan found in Permit C-82-056 using the approved seed mixtures
(Tables 2-4).
A summary of the current surface disturbance and reclamation
present within the Foidel Mine permit boundaries are found in Table
1. Those parcels already reclaimed within the shaded areas by CYCC
will remain the responsibility of CYCC. For a more complete
discussion of the surface areas involved, refer to Permit C-82-056.
