The delay was
further compounded by the USGS in their reanalysis and reporting of the
fourth water sample. Finally,a preliminary record subject to revision for
Station 09243900 was received by CYCC in January 1989 after the ]988 fourth
quarter report and the annual hydrologic reports were completed. LYCC has
attached the data along with the April 19, 1988 lab data in order to insure
that all four lab analyses are on file with the CMLRD.
In order to eliminate this problem, CYCC has made arrangements with the
USGS to assume the direct responsibility of taking the four quarterly
samples for all USGS stations currently in CYCC's and TCC's hydrology
monitoring programs.
With this responsibility CYCC will assure a proper sampling frequency
and timely lab analysis and reporting regimen. This should satisfy the
concerns of the CMLRD as they relate to the USGS station quarterly samples.
If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
w.~~. ~
Richard Hughes
Environmental Specialist
RMH:dg
Attachment '
c~RUs
