The West Elk <br />Mine is an underground coal mine and the disturbed area covers the life-of--mine facilities azea and <br />several remote areas. During the year of 2006, MCC completed 13.48 acres of permanent <br />• reclamation which included grading to approximate ori;inal contour, seeding, fertilizing, and <br />mulching azeas of the West Flatiron. <br />In 2006, approximately 3.0 additional acres were reclaimed using steps confined to those of interim <br />reclamation. Attached is a report including photographs, text, and maps showing the locations of <br />permanently reclaimed azeas in the Dry Fork, West Flatiron, Thermal Event and Lone Pine areas.
