Public service
•
November 5, 1996
Mr. Rick Mills
TWENTYMILE COAL COMPANY
29515 Routt County Road 27
Oak Creek, CO 80467
_II I _I II I II I II IIII III
Doc Date:12/11/2001
Public Sarvlee
Company o/ Colorado
Electric Transmission and
Substation Engineering
550 15th Street, Sude 600
Denver, CO &7202-0256
FAx: (303) 571-7666
Subj: Subsidence of PSCo's Wolcott Tap-Wolcott 230kV Transmission Line by Foidel Creek Mine East
Expansion.
Dear Mr. Mills:
This letter is to inform you that PSCo has inspected the first two structwes to be subsided by the mining
of the Foidel Creek Mine East Expansion. One structure, #85, is above the 9 right panel, the other
structure, #86, is over the 8 right panel. The structures are in good condition, with all the hardware intact
and the poles essentially plumb. The hardware were tightened so the structures are now in the condition
as they were designed to be. Attached is a copy of the inspection report for these two structures.
• There is a discrepancy in the numbering of the structures on the Wolcott Tap-Wolcott line. The structure
numbers on the Plan & Profile drawings appears to be one (1) number off from the numbers on the
structures in the field. The structure above the 9 right panel is marked number 84 on the structure, but is
numbered 85 on the Plan & Profile drawing. The structure above the 8 right panel is marked number 85
on the structure, but is numbered 86 on the Plan & Profile drawing. This information is provided to
prevent confusion in the future when we correlate the structures to the mining panels.
If you have any questions or comments, please call me at (303)571-7289.
Sincerely,
~~
Cary Y~
Civil Engineer
cc: D.
