P. <br />u <br />Dear Mr. Walker: <br />Enclosed for the Division's review is the Colowyo Coal Company L.P., 1997 Annual Reclamation Report and Annual <br />Hydrology Report. This report is submitted to comply with all the environmental monitoring requirements a[ the <br />Colowyo mine az specified in Mining Perini[ C-81-019. <br />The 1997 report continues [o follow the same forma[ as previous reports submitted to and approved by the Division. <br />During 1997 approximately 92.7 acres were backfilled, graded, topsoiled and seeded. 127 Acres of additional <br />disturbance occurred during annual topsoil removal operations. The 4.5 acre reclaimed area located in Section 16 which <br />could not be seeded during the fall of 1996 waz seeded in the spring of 1997.
