5.1.4 Process Ponds
The process ponds at the NSI site have a secondary liner, which collects and duects any
condensation or leakage to the leak detection tube for removal. Weekly collection and removal of
leachate continued in 2006. Process pond information is provided within the monthly reports.
6.0 Land Disturbance and Reclamation
6.l Summary of 2006 Disturbance
There was no new surface disturbance in 2006. Table 5-1, listing disturbed acreage and Figure 5-1,
showing disturbed areas, vegetation (h~ees; brush) and mine site facilities, aze unchanged from 2005.

6.2 Regulatory Compliance
6.2.1 Regulatory Activity
No Technical Revisions (TR) were submitted or approved in 2006. Disturbed acreage approved
under DMG permit remained at 73 acres with a total of 70.8 acres disturbed through 2006.
Topsoil stockpIle inventories remain unchanged throughout 2006. The quantity of topsoil stockpiled
remains approximately 71,761 cubic yazds.
6.3 Reclamation Activity
6.3.1 Seeding
Due to the large amount of precipitation received in September and October of 2006,
(---4.75",Section 5.3.3), neither seeding nor mulching occurred as scheduled.
6.3.2 Reclamation Fencing
Repair and maintenance was performed on all existing fences. Fencing is utilized to protect
reclamation during establishment and to keep livestock out of the mud pits.
