These 1990 tests were taken on the following
dates; March 26, June 28, September 19, December 31. On June 28,
1990, bottle samples were also taken from these wells and submitted
to ACZ Laboratories, Inc., in Steamboat Springs, CO.. Included
herewith are copies of all alluvial field tests including graphs
and a Water Analysis report from ACZ.
There was no discharge from either sediment ponds at Bear #2 or #3
mine sites in 1990.
For the year of 1990 Bear Coal #3 operation consumed approximately
3,103,000 gallons of water. There was no discharge of water from
the Sear #3 mine during the 1990.
After evaluating field tests and a water analysis reports, it is
found that the operation at Bear #3 Mine may possibly be causing
some degradation of alluvial well AA1. This possible degradation
is the subject of on going discussions with the Division.
Sin sly;
G'GF~~~
Basil R. Bear
Environmental Supervisor
Enclosures
