Long <br />Dwis~on D~maor <br />The Division has completed its adequacy review of the 1999 Annual Report submitted by <br />Bowie Resources Limited (BRL) for the Bowie No. 1 Mine. This adequacy review letter <br />is divided into three sections, the 1999 Annual Hydrology Report (AHR), the 1999 <br />Annual Mine Inflow Report and the 1999 Annual Subsidence Report. <br />1999 Annual Hvdrolo~v Resort <br />In general, the Division agrees with BRL's summary and conclusions concerning water <br />quality and quantity at the Bowie , io. 1 Mine. However, the Division does have some <br />questions or comments that follow. <br />A review of the hydrologic data in the 1999 AHR shows that the required hydrologic <br />monitoring frequency was achieved, except for a few instances, which are described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />I. In the section entitled "Springs" in Table 1 of the 1999 AHR, several monitoring <br />locations aze listed as having being dropped from surveillance. These sites aze 50704, <br />51504, SP0105, SP0705, SP1900, SP2300 and SP2400. However, Table 3 in Volume 4 <br />of the permit application shows the approved monitoring plan.
