FIRST HALF 2006 SUBSIDENCE REPORT
I. Survev Data•
During the first half of 2006, mining began in the 19-Right longwall panel, which lies
beneath and parallel to two powerlines, owned by Western Area Power Administration
(WAPA) and Tri-State/Public Service Company of Colorado. Starting iti May, survey
data has been collected daily for the bases of each supporting power pole t as the longwall
continues to mine east to west. Surveying of the power poles will continue until the end
of the 19-Right Panel, and continued visual inspection will follow the completion of the
panel.
II. Structures-
As noted above, starting in May 2006, mining in the 19-Right Panel has subsided two
powerlines from the eastern-most power pole, 145-1. Daily surveys of the power poles
have been performed by Twentymile Coal Company personnel, and will continue to be
performed and reported to designated representatives for the owners of the powerlines.
Also, continued visual inspections of the subsided power poles will be performed daily by
Twentymile Coal Company personnel.
Structures remained essentially unaffected during the period, with the exception to the
predicted impacts to the power lines over the 19-Right longwall panel.
III. Maa:
The monitoring locations for the first-half of 2006 are displayed on the First Half 2006,
Subsidence Map. The map also indicates the location of the longwall face on a monthly
basis.
2006_1stHa1lSubReport.doc Page 1 of3 11/14/2006
