' Felmaary 2001 Hryle\ GJd, Terncu~ !rc • 2000 A»avd N~r6dagy Report ~ Pn~e !

1.0 INTRODUCTION
' The information assembled in [his 2000 Annual Hydrology Repon (AHR) includes data collected from
all hydrologic monitoring saes for the 2000 calendaz year at Hayden Gulch Terminal, Inc.'s (HGTI)
Hayden Gulch Loadou[ (Loadout) facility, Permit No. G92-081.
' Locatioru of the hydrologic monitoring sites are shown on Figure 1, Mmoswing Site Laatiars Map.
Hydrologic monitonng at the Loadout is performed for surface water, groundwater and for Colorado
' Wastewater Discharge Permit System (COPS) outfalls. Water monitoring requirements for the
Loadout are found in Tab 13 of the existing, valid Mining Pemut. Two surface water sampling sites,
HGSDl and HGSD3, are located on Dry Creek upstream and downstream of the primary disturbance
azea, respectively. One groundwater monitoring well, HGDAI3, u completed in Dry Creek alluvium.
' Surface water and groundwater monitoring is required semi-annually, once during spring runoff
conditions (typically doting April or May) and once during fall low Clow conditions (typically during
October or November). During 2000, only the spring runoff condition sample, in May, was collec[ed.
The COPS monitoring occurred weekly, however, samples were only collected on a monthly basis
when ducharge was present.

1

ll
1

' hfotgneryW~rm •P.Q Bar 77x018 •StendnuSprvg, GT~80477 •(970f 879~6I60
V~~W\mAlyeN,~roAnHA Agwtr
YWfM
