LARINER COUNTY, COLORADO
16 -our .application for Permit No. 77-348 and our 1981 Annual
Report, . we anticipated the limestone quarry operation for several
years would be principally in "C." and "E"-Bands located in the old,
previously mined area north of the Boettcher plant , and south of
the Windsor Reservoir and Canal Company flood ditch. During the
startup, and from operating experience gained to date with the new
Boettcher plant process , it has been determined that we require a
weathered source of "E"-Band for raw mix control. Therefore, the
proposed quarry operations for "C"-Band northwest of the relocated
stockpiles on drawing bc.c-1356c did. not commence this past year.
Instead, a weathered "E"-Band operation commenced north of the
Windsor Reservoir and Canal Company flood ditch and east: of the -,.J
haul road as shown on Drawing bcc-1358, Sheet 3N.
During the previous mining, the weathered "E"-Band has been re-
moved in the old area north of the plant. This weathered area will
[ continue to be operated this year and blended with unweathered ma-
terial to obtain a suitable raw material mix.
To show the major active quarry area, the composite map bcc
1356c, included for the first time with the 1981 Annual Report is
attached. The affected area -for the permit bond and permit area is
unchanged. The mining area for the coming year is increased due to
the proposed area we plan to strip for the mining plan and quarry
development for the necessary limestone materials . 'Minor changes
in bcc71360 and 1361 (Sheets 5 and 6) , reflect removal of "A"-Band
limestone and remaining emergency reserves that may be needed in
the near future. Drawing 1358, Sheet 3N, which was not included
with last year' s report, is attached. This map shows the weathered
"E"-Band quarry operation and increase in affected area for the per-
mit bond. These: marked maps and the following information are in-
tended only to comply with Rule 2. 41 (annual reporting) and show
only the changes in iihe status of affected area as of about October
1 , 1982 :' .f ,.
(1) LOCATION AND NUMBER OF ACRES AFFECTED DURING THE YEAR
Sa to adjustment i s Cho!, a ctned, azea-:is outlined on. bcc-1348,
Shee for the gg31arr}y operation of weathered "E"-Band north
of the'-Wndsor Reservoir and Canal Company flood ditch.
