RECEIVED
July 2001
JUL 2 4 2001
Division of Minerals and Geology
ANNUAL REPORT
Phillips Stone Co.,Inc.
Permit#M-81-075
During the past year, we have removed approximately 1000 tons of stone. The upper quarry,
Number 1, has been worked mostly the past year. The lower section of Number 1, the SE
comer, has gone down approximately four(4) feet. We are now moving north and west. (See
map #1)
Our lower quarry, Number 2, is where we get big slabs off the wall on the west side. The SW
side is to the boundary, but the NW side still has some stone we can get. (See map 92) In this
quarry we disturb very little because it is a small operation with three (3) or four(4) men working
mostly in the summer months.
As we remove stone, we reclaim it with ruble. Seeding to stop erosion is done yearly. We are
still working in the old quarries where the ground was disturbed 100 years ago. We have leveled
old ruble piles and cleaned up old messes. We plan to own this land for many years, so we wish
to keep it looking nice.
#I #2 Dbe
(Boxes= Working areas, Circles= Reclamation)
Both quarries are approximately 1'/z Acres.
If you have any questions, please contact Joe Phillips at 303-823-6395.
