r. •
Permittee Name: Albert Frei and Sons, Inc • Page 2
Permit No: M-86-079
Operation Name: M&G Pit
Anniversary Date: 08 / 08 / 95
The total disturbance to date is 84. 01 ac. ±; of which 59. 62
ac ± is lake area; 6.31 ac. ± is backfilled; 11. 38 ac ± is
Plants Site; 3.30 ac. ± is topsoil piles; 2.35 ac. ± is
stripped ready for mining and 1. 05 ac. ± is road.
(2) No reclamation was required this year. Backfilling is
continuing in the north quadrant of the property. We have
filled an additional 0.96 ac. ± this year bring the total to
approximately 6.31 ac. . The new areas mined will be part of
the lake area when reclamation is complete except around the
exterior. We have completed underwater sloping on 4 . 61 ac. ±
in the northern and southern lakes. This amounts to 85% of
the underwater sloping that is necessary on the site. No
revegetation work was preformed this year nor is it required
until resoiling is complete. We have approximately 68, 540 YD3
of soil stockpiled along the north and west sides of the pit.
We estimated 36,200 YD3 will be needed for recoiling purposes.
The rest will be used as fill in the northern section as
approved.
(3) Mining will continue on the 3.86 ac. ± that was the owners
old entrance road and area where the old house was located
along the west property line. The outer sides of the Plant
Site will be mined until there is not enough room to continue
processing gravel. Once this is happens the processing plant
will be removed and mining will start on the area left in the
Plant Site with the material being hauled to another operation
for processing.
(4) Backfilling will continue on the northern end of the property.
Once mining is complete on the lake shore area, the slopes
will be graded as required. We will begin above water sloping
this year on the shores that need it. If resoiling is done we
will revegetate as needed.
