Review of the TDS plot indicates an increasing trend due to <br /> runoff from mine spoils. Bas eline data for this site (WSH6) has been <br /> provided just prior to the TDS plot. <br />- Surface Water Site SW-S2W-FG1 (WSHF1). This site is located on <br />Hubberson Gulch downstream of the 006 Gulch confluence. It has been <br />monitored since July 1979. The peak flow this year was the lowest since <br />1994. The TDS plot indicates an increasing trend. Baseline water <br />quality statistics have been provided. The Seneca II-W PHC predicts an ~ <br />irrigation season (June-September) average TDS value of 2193 mg/1 for <br />this site, while a value of 1425 mg/1 was observed this year. <br />- NPDES 005 (NPDES5). This sediment pond is located in the north mining <br />area on a tributary to Dry Creek referred to as the 005 Gulch. <br />Construction of this pond was completed in July 1992 and the first <br />discharge occurred on April 22, 1993. This pond was dredged in the <br />summers of 1998 and 2001. The water .year average flows values since <br />this pond began to discharge are: <br />2001 0.018 cfs (monthly measurements) <br />2000 0.029 cfs (from monthly measurements as of 12/99) <br />1999 0.057 cfs (weekly measurements) <br />1996 0.110 cfs " <br />1997 0.033 cfs " <br />1996 0.015 cfs " <br />1995 0.015 cfs " <br />1999 no flow (very low snowpack runoff this year) <br />1993 0.114 cfs (pond was dewatered to repair a leaking <br /> dewatering line) <br />This years average flow value is 92$ of the historic (1993-2000) average <br />flow value, 0.043 cfs. Review of this site's TDS plot indicates an <br />increasing trend. Baseline data for this site (WSDB) has been provided <br />just prior to the TDS plot. <br />IS <br />
