This pit HAS NOT
been granted a Temporary Cessation and it HAS operated more than
180 days this year. There has been no mining within 200 feet of
the Peck Creek tributary canyon as required. The Annual Report map
is an excerpt from the application map showing the Southeast por-
tion of the mine.
We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report
questions as required in Rule 1.15 of the Rules and Regulations and
the Annual Notice Letter.
(1) No new area was disturbed this ,year. We continued to mine on
the 4 field atone areas and the slab stone areas disturbed in
past years. We continue to stockpile smaller slab rock mate-
rial in three areas for hand sorting and processing. The
grizzlies have been setup on the east side of the mine for
processing. The following table shows the status of the area,
in acres, disturbed at the mine:
DISTURBANCE STAGE 1 STAGE 2 TOTALS
Field stone reclaimed 0.85 0 0.85
Slab stone mining (blue) 3.98 0 3.98
Active field stone mining (pink) 0.75 0.27 7.02
Topsoil stockpiles (tan) 1.47 0 1.47
Stone Piles (yellow) 2.10 0 2.10
Partially reclaimed (green) 0.90 0 0.90
Stone Storage (purple) 8.70 0 8.70
Total disturbance 18.75 0.27 19.02
(2) No reclamation was required this year. in the slab stone
mining area. We have approximately 25,200 cy of topsoil saved
for reclamation, located in an old pile on the north side of
the Siloam Mine and in a new pile located north of the current
slab mining area ibrown).
(3) Mining will continue in the pink colored field stone areas and
on the slab stone area (blue) in Stage 1. We will continue to
email: info@siloamstone.com website: www.siloamstone.com
