Continued penetration into the traditional bicarb market.
b. Continued development of the Flue Gas Desulfurization (FDG) applications
c. Production of approximately 73,500 tons in 1994.
d. Continuous production with downtime scheduled for plant maintenance,
cavity surveys, etc.
e. Process modifications planned to improve the crystallization operation.
f. Begin mining cavity #3, with longer lateral section (2000') than previous
cavities.
g. Drill a sonar access well over cavity #3.
n
U
3.2.2 Actual 1994 Production and Activities
The following was accomplished in 1994.
a. Two production wells for the development of cavity #3 were drilled during
the early part of 1994. The two wells making up cavity #: are WRNM 26-93-1V (the
vertical recovery well) and WRNM 26-93-2H (the horizontal injection well). The horizontal
well was drilled with a 2000' lateral section to expose 339E more formation than cavity #2
and 100% more than cavity #1.
b. During the summer a sonar access well was drilled into cavity #3 near the
n
U
mid point of the 1000' ext~:nsion.
