FISHING, HIKING
CABINS, LAKES AND REVERS
SOWARD RANCH
ESTABLISHED 1886
Q A RESORT CATTLE RANCH ~
THE LAMB FAMILY
OWNERS
BOX 130
CREEDE,COLORADO 81130
July 26, 2007
Division Of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street-Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
To Whom It May Concern:
Please find enclosed our signed annual report form, our check in the amount of the
$323.00 annual fee, and a series of photos of our pit taken just this morning in substitution
for the annual report map, The photos were taken from lefr to right, starting where the
access road comes into the permit area (facing southwest)and ending on the far edge of the
pit (facing northeast).
As you'll see, the pit is currently inactive with no material stockpiles remaining.
Our enfire inventory was liquidated last summer and we have no plans to extricate or
process any material in the upcoming year. Our thoughts are that if and when fuel prices
return to a reasonable level we will then look at the possibility of bringing in a
crushing/screening plant and replenishing our inventory.
Sincerely,
R. Scott Lamb-Manager
Soward Ranch Pit
