The report and data sheets can be inserted in the
three ring binder submitted with the 1983 report.
The Division's letters dated November 26 and December 6, 1993
transmitted comments and questions regarding the 1992 AHR.
Following are Minrec's responses to those concerns:
1. A description of how the hydrologic monitoring is performed is
included on page 3 of the 1993 AHR.
2. Only one flow measurement is taken for Hubbard Creek. It is
recorded as the flow for upper Hubbard Creek. The reason only
one measurement is taken is that the monitoring program is not
attempting to determine differences in upstream and downstream
flows in Hubbard Creek because the Blue Ribbon Mine has
virtually no means that it could impact the quantity of flow
in Hubbard Creek.
3. A graph has been provided for piezometer P-2 in this report.
4.. The quantity of flow from the bench underdrains in acre-feet
is calculated as follows. The flow used in the equation is in
gallons per minute.
[[(Flow 4th 1/4 1992) + 2*(Sum of the Flow 1st, 2nd and 3rd
1/4 1993) + (Flow 4th 1/4 1993)][ * 1/8 * 60 * 24 * 360]/
(43560 * 7.48)
Please let me know if there are any questions.
Sincerely,
k..J ~~~~
Jim Stover, P.E.
Chief Engineer
