The accompanying map shows the area of projected activity for the year 2002,the area mined in
:001,the area reclaimed to date,and the extent of prior years disturbance.
Ellison Pit is one of several operated by Delta County and is mined as needed for county projects
er gravel reserves. Delta County crushes and processes the gravel in each of its pits with a portable
crushing plant.
Approximately 2.10 acres were mined during the report period and some overburden removed
from the next area to be mined. No reclamation was done on the mined area as most of that area will be
used for locating the crusher when mining resumes. Material stockpiles occupy the areas mined earlier.
