The Division has the following comments regarding the
report:
1. It is good practice to include in the permit, a description of how
hydrologic monitoring is completed. For example, is discharge
obtained using a flume or other method, and how is quality obtained?
What instruments are used and what ie the sampling protocol? This
should be addressed in regards to surface water and ground water to
be included in the permit.
2. The frequency of data collection is in compliance with the approved
monitoring plan, which ie on page 124 and 124a of the permit.
3. Why is no flow recorded for Lower Hubbard Creek?
4. Units should be included for conductivity on Upper and Lower Hubbard
Creek. This should be provided in the 1993 Annual Hydrologic
Report.
5. Quality results in Hubbard Creek and bench underdrains appear to be
acceptable.
6. The water level in the piezometers does not show any anomalies.
Thank you for your continued compliance with the terms of your permit. Responses
to the above questions should be provided on or before December 31, 1993.
Please call if you have any questions.
S' rely,
Christine E.
