A total of 11.94 acres has been stripped in Stage A to prepare it for mining (magenta). The material stripped was placed along the perimeter of Stage A. Mining continued in Stage A on the area west of the road removing most of the pre-law overburden pile and deepening the plant site area. The upper 10 feet of gravel from the south side of Stage A (magenta). This material was blended with material removed from the stripped area (cross hatched \\\) to create the product Frei needs. The current gravel operation has dis- turbed 23.03 acres ± in the mine. {2) No reclamation was required this year. The areas colored green are being backfilled with waste materials from the gravel processing plant. Filling continued on the old clay mining area in the green areas. The backfilling on the south slope of the old clay pit will establish the slope into the excavation area and the bench along that part of the excavation was expanded to make more level processing area. Frei has approximately 5,000 cy of fill material stored in this area that will be used to create slope from the top of the gravel to the bedrock as mining progresses. No additional reclamation is required until mining for both materials is completed in any given stage. (3) Clay - Mining will continue in Stage I or Stage II, no new area will be disturbed this year because we are mining in the area stripped by the sand and gravel operator. We will mine deeper into the clay veins exposed in the past and advance the face to the north as approved in the reclamation plan. Processing will continue in the Clay Plant Site Area in Stage 0 (purple). We are using a small part of the east side of Stage II to store clay produced at a mine near Golden (tan). It is used with the clay from this mine at our brick plant in Lakewood. Gravel - Frei will continue to remove the pre-law overburden piles and mine in the stripped part of Stage A in the south- east part of the mine. To date they have screened the material and hauled it to another site for processing. This may change this year if a crushing plant is installed on Stage A. Stockpiled material was removed this year. (~) No reclamation is called for during the next year. However, Albert Frei and Sons, Inc. will continue to backfill the slope along the south side of the old clay pit. The waste material from processing will be used to widen the flat area on the south side of Stage 0 and fill the lake in the old clay mine. The amount of waste being generated from the old
