We have a number <br />of requests for additional information or clarification, itemized here below. <br />Please provide, in addition to the detailed report submitted, the 1 page summary <br />form Co/oiado Division of Mineia/s and C,eo%gy Annua/ Rec/amation <br />RepoK Fo/ the Yeas 2003, as provided in previous years. We need the <br />information in this standardized form for annual reporting to OSM. Be sure to <br />update the "Acreage re-seeded for greater than 10 years". The 2002 report <br />indicated 0 acres for this category, but based on the information provided under <br />Item F of the 2003 report, it would appear that 23.1 acres would have been re- <br />seeded for more than 10 years, as of the end of 2003. This includes 1.5 acres of <br />the abandoned Blue Flame abandoned mine area clean-up, done in 1985. If this <br />work was performed voluntarily and not required under Permit C-1981-041, it <br />should not be included. <br />In our review letter of December 26, 2003 (2002 ARR Review), we requested that <br />the 2003 and future ARR's include "an appropriate map or maps delineating areas <br />backfilled and graded, topsoiled, and seeded during the report year, as well as areas <br />permanently seeded in previous years". Such mapping is required by Rule 2.04.13 <br />and specified on the standardized reporting form. No maps were provided with the <br />2003 ARR submittal. Please submit the appropriate map information, for inclusion <br />in the 2003 ARR. <br />3. Information regarding date of seeding and reference to seedmix used was included <br />in the report as appropriate, however referenced seedmix attachments were <br />(apparently erroneously) not included with the submittal. Please submit the <br />referenced seedmix attachments for inclusion in the 2003 ARR. <br />4. There appear to be some errors in regard to the seedmix references provided under <br />Section (f) of the report. Items 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, and 25 refer to <br />a "Lowland Components" seedmix. However, based on Notes at the bottom of <br />Table 14-8 of the approved permit, the "Upland Components" mix was used in <br />Office of ,Office of Colorado <br />
