Dept. of Natural Resources q
Dear Bob: ,
Enclosed are maps, annual progress report and a check in the amount of $275.00
for renewal of the King Solomon-Dolores Bench Permit #77-296.
I
Affected acreage to date is 16.3 acres and includes a new portal and nine 4upp
to be constructed on the Cliffdweller claim as shown on the second map (DOLO
GROUP-NORTHWEST) . Additional small areas may be disturbed for ventilation
sites in the upcoming year and throughout the life of the mine within the per-
mitted area. Portions of the non-mineral waste dumps at the existing main
portals may be removed for tailings dam stabilization at the Uravan mill in
1979 and 1980. This waste rock removal will not change the affected 'acreage,
as it would be removed from waste dumps now in use.
As was stated in the original permit applications, most reclamation eFforts
cannot take place until final cessation of mining operations in the distant
future. However, selected venthole sites will be seeded this fall for reve-
getation in test plots and soil amendment requirements.
If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to call .
Yours very truly,
l 1
Kent DahV
P1ine Engineering J Uravan
KO/brh
Encl .
