2002 ANNUAL REPORT <br />NARRATIVE <br />PERMITTEE NAME: Lawrence Construction Company <br />PERMIT NO.: M-74-041 <br />OPERATION NAME: Lawrence Pit <br />COUNTY: Douglas <br />DATE: <br />January 22, 2003 <br />COMMENTS: <br />RECEBVE® <br />JAN Z 3 2003 <br />Division of Minerals and Geology <br />Active construction aggregate operations were carried on in the permit area throughout 2001. <br />These activities involved mining of native materials, accumulation of reclaimed concrete and the <br />stockpiling of. During 2002 approximately 4200 tons of pit run material was mined from the pit <br />for use on various off-site construction projects. No disturbed land was available for reclamation. <br />Minimal additional land is expected to be disturbed during 2003 by mining. No disturbed land is <br />expected to be available for reclamation in 2003. During 2002 additional reclaimed concrete <br />was accumulated for future crushing and use as construction aggregate. Construction aggregates <br />stockpiles were reduced by approximately 660 tons for use on various off-site construction <br />projects. <br />A portion of the permitted area is used by Aggregate Industries, Inc. to stockpile and store <br />construction aggregates under agreement with the permittee. ht 2002 Aggregate Industries <br />hauled crushed construction aggregates from its quarries to the Lawrence Pit for temporary <br />storage. This material is subsequently sent to customers by Aggregate Industries. <br />
