You requested
clarification of how the pressure readings for the underground wells
(0.6 and 1.5) were obtained. The pressure readings were obtained by
charging the wells with nitrogen to equalize the pressure at the bottom
of the well at the interface of the water and nitrogen. When the pressure
of the nitrogen stabilizes within the well, the pressure value was read
from the pressure guage on the nitrogen tank. The pressure value were
included in the Annual Hydrology Report - 1986 (Flow and field Parameters
horizontal table).
I trust this information clarifies the method of determining the well
pressures.
Sincerely,
~~~ ~x
Linda Limbach
Secretary
