III III III IIIIIII III li~~~"-,~~. ~~~` ..r :.:~'9 <br />West Pit operated by Flatiron Paving Company, P.O. Box 229, <br />Boulder, Colorado. It covers the period September 1, 1978 <br />through August 31, 1979. <br />Mining has been completed in Area A and water has been <br />allowed to rise to fill the lake created by mining. The most <br />significant development for the Greeley West Pit this year has <br />been the amendment of the mining plan to more completely utilize <br />the sand and gravel on site. The Mined Land Reclamation Board <br />approved this amendment at its April meeting. <br />The following questions and answers provide detail on <br />activity at Greeley West Pit. The attached map shows areas <br />affected. <br />1. What are the locations and number of acres affected this year? <br />The remaining 2.5 acres of Area A have been mined. A <br />total of about 10.4 acres in Areas B and C have been <br />mined. These areas were begun last year. <br />2. What are the locations and number of acres reclaimed this year? <br />None are completely reclaimed. <br />3. What are the locations and number of acres in various stages <br />of reclamation? <br />The banks of Area A have been shaped. <br />4.
