Dear Mr. Keffelew:
Enclosed please find the annual report form, annual fee of $1,000.00 (check no. , and map for
Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company's ("CC&V") Cresson Project, Permit M-1980-244. This
report covers the time period between April 2002 and April 2003.
Reportable Conditions:
Amendment No. 8 site preparation and development activities continued in the Main Cresson and East
Cresson Mine areas and Phase IV of the Valley Leach Facility ("VLF"). The new crusher area was
completed during the year. Remaining Amendment No. 8 activities will continue throughout 2003 and
beyond.
CCBV implemented reclamation techniques on approximately 44 acres of land during the reporting
period. The acreage consisted of development rock removal areas, highway 67 realignment and related
disturbances within the permit boundary, Enhanced Management Practice storm water structures, topsoil
stockpiles, powerline access corridor, and miscellaneous reclamation along new roads and construction
sites. Approximately 10 acres of previously reported reclaimed acres were impacted by construction
activities and were reclaimed again in 2002.
Per the requirements of C.R.S. 34-32-116(3), and C.R.S. 34-32.5-116(3)(a):
Reclamation accomplished to date: Approximately 212 acres
Reclamation accomplished during the preceding year.• Approximately 44 acres
New disturbances anticipated during the upcoming year. Continued construction of Phase IV of the
VLF; continued development of the Main Cresson and East Cresson Mine areas and associated
haulroads, sediment control measures, topsoil stockpiles, and other ancillary disturbances
required to support these activities.
