<br />1. Field parameters (temp., conductivity, and pI I) were not included in the annual monitoring data
<br />for Ll'I7., piezometers 02 and 04, and Rollins Wells # 1, #2, #3, and #4, az specified im the permit.
<br />These data should be provided.
<br />2. One column heading on the "Cameo Refuse Disposal Area Ground Water" Table, page GC-5, is
<br />apparently erroneously labeled "11/IS/9T'. It would appeaz that the correct date would be
<br />11/15/96, and a revised table should be provided if this is the case.
<br />3. Then: were several data gaps for surface water gaging statioms on Rapid Creek and Cottonwood
<br />Creek. For SWGS-01 (Rapid Creek downstream), the permit requires "flow measurements
<br />collected with continuous flow recorder when the creek is not frozen." Data was missing for ttuee
<br />weeks in August, 1997, and no data was reported for November, 1996, through March, 1997. For
<br />SWGS-02, 03, and O5, (Cottonwood upstream, Rapid Creek upstream, and Cottonwood Creek at
<br />permit boundary, respectively), the permit required that flow be recorded "bimonthly during low
<br />flow" (June through November). These flume sites are also equipped with continuous recorders.
<br />No data was reported for October or November, 1996, for SWGS-02. No data waz reported for
<br />June, 1997, October, 1996, or November, 1996, for SWGS-03. No data was reported for October
<br />or November, 1996, for SWGS-05.
<br />1998 AI-IR
<br />Problems with continuous recorders at various surface water gaging stations continued into 1998.,
<br />with significant data gaps. For SWGS-01, continuous recorder data are missing from December
<br />7, 1997, through August 29, 1998. For SWGS-02, no continuous recorder data is provided for
<br />June, July, or August, 1998. Flow depth measurements are reported for Aug. 2, Aug. 30, and
<br />Sept. 20, 1998, but the measurements were no[ converted to flow data. For SWGS-03, continuous
<br />recorder data are missing for June, July, and all but the last two days of August, 1998. Flow
<br />depth measurements are reported for the same dates as Site-02. For SWGS-05, continuous
<br />recorder data are missing for all of August, 1998, and all but the last day of July, 1998. Flow
<br />depth measurements are reported for the same dates az Sites-02 and -03. The operator needs to
<br />address measures which have been implemented to ensure that data is being collected in
<br />accordance with permit requirements.
<br />2. May, August, and September flow depth measurements were reported for the fltune sites on
<br />Cottonwood Creek and Rapid Creek. This data would supplement the continuous recorder data
<br />which was provided, if converted to slow data The table on page 2 of the narrative should be
<br />amended to report flows in cubic feet per second.
<br />3. Required quarterly water level data were not provided for Rollins Wells 1,2,3 and 4. The data
<br />need to be provided or an a:planation provided if nat available.
<br />4. Lab analyses from I1T'L-02 (Table GD) show water with a conductivity of 9600 umho/cm and a
<br />TDS of 759 mg/1. This discrepancy needs to be addressed and corrected.
