Located about 1,500 feet southwest of SOM-2-H above planned Panel 13 where <br />only development mining has occurred. <br />• Cracks, which are the widest seen so far, aze located in a small saddle in a 30 feet by 30 <br />feet azea. <br />• Cracks, which aze in a crenulate, crows-foot pattem diverging in all directions, are as <br />much as 3 inches wide and 1 %z feet deep. <br />• Ron Hanna reported the cracks to MCC two weeks ago. <br />• Cracks aze not considered to be mining related. <br />Location 11. Located about 150 feet northeast of drill hole SOW-1 in an azea where no <br />extraction mining has been done. <br />Cracks, which are located on a ridge, are nearly as wide as those at Location 10. <br />• Trends are a random, crow-foot pattern; the cracks are 2 to 3 inches wide and up to i '/: <br />feet deep. <br />• Cracks are not mining related. <br />Location 12. Located on road on narrow ridge leading to SOW-3 about half the distance <br />between SOM-16 and SOW-3. Development mining has occurred to the notch of this <br />location, but no longwall mining has occurred yet. <br />• Cracks, which split the tank trap, are located above proposed Panel 13, but where no <br />extraction mining has occurred. <br />• Trend is south, southwest parallel to ridge, which is only 20 to 30 feet wide at this <br />location. <br />• Cracks are linear, to crenulate to en echelon in pattem and aze'/. to 1 inch wide and 1 to I <br />%: feet deep. <br />• Ron Hanna did not remember seeing these cracks when he was out here on June 10, 1998. <br />• Cracks are not considered to be mining related. <br />Observation of September 10, 1998 <br />CDMG-1 Located on the north side of Jumbo Mountain above the northern edge of longwall <br />Panel 8.
