Located near the northeast comer of lonewall Panel 10 150-100 feet S50°E of
SOM-80. Cracks:
• Most recent (month or so old) trend N80°E and are '/ to 1 inch wide.
• NS°E, '/z to'/. inch wide, cracks become narrower eastward down road.
• N30°W, only a few piping holes aze visible, mostly healed.
Location 2. Located roughly above chain pillars between Panels 10 and 1 l 500 feet south of
panel boundary. Cracks probably are due to a combination of mass-gravity movement and
subsidence; caused mainly by mass-gravity movement (MG).
• Crack up to 1 %: inches vending E-W; crack under big rock probably caused by mass-
gravity movement.
• Crack on road 100 feet E of Location 2 trends roughly E-W and is '/. to '/z inch wide.
Location 3. A 30-feet diameter azea of crenulate cracks located approximately 300 feet south
of SOM-80 near northern edge of Panel 10. Cracks:
• Trend on one set of cracks is roughly north-south and are % to'/. inch wide.
• Another set trends E-W and is 1/8 to''/z inches wide.
Location 4. Located on top of soil pile at the northeast comer of Panel l0 (outside comer).
This location is in the vicinity of the recently constructed Sylvester Gulch Facilities Area and
cracking may be due to construction settling. Cracks:
• Trend N70°E for 75 to 100 feet;'/. to 1 inch wide; local diverging, crow-foot geometry.
• Estimated cause mass-gravity movement = 70% and subsidence = 30%.
Location 5. Located about 200 southwest of location 4 near drainage ditch above a linear seep
area. This location is in the vicinity of the recently constructed Sylvester Gulch Facilities
Area and cracking may be due to construction settling.
• crenulate crack trends about N70°E for 100 feet or so; I to 3 inches wide on ditch bank.
• Cracks aze fresh looking (last few weeks or months); estimated cause mass-gravity
movement = 85% and subsidence = 15%.
Location 6. Located on main road to new Sylvester Gulch mine facilities 400 to 500 feet south
of Location 4 and about 300 feet south of large well with deformation in the hole (located
Wright Water Engineers, Inc.. 2490 W. 26'" Avenue, Ste. 100A, Denver, CO 80211
Tel. 3 03/4 80. 1 70 0: Fax. 303/480-1020, e-mail:knvnght@wrightwater.com
