The sample, AC29/44, represents soil liner
material obtained from Acre 29 at the BAT field permeability test no. 44 location. The sample
was prepared at a dry density of 106.8 pcf with a moisture content of 5.2 percent in an attempt
to duplicate the actual field conditions (105.9 pcf dry density and 6.4 percent moisture content)
at the sample location.
The material exhibited a BAT field permeability of 2.1 x 10~ cm/sec and a laboratory
permeability of 2.6 x 10~ cm/sec thus confirming the accuracy of the BAT test results for this
material. The laboratory test was conducted in strict accordance with ASTM D 5084,
Measurement of Hydraulic Conductivity of Saturated Porous Material using a Flexible Wall
Permeameter.
This concludes the laboratory testing of all samples collected to date. If you have any questions
regarding these test results or require any additional testing, please feel fee to give me a call.
Sincerely,
STEEPEN ROBERTS NAND KIRSTEN (U.S.), INC.
t
David Hallman
Project Manager
DH:Ip
Attachment
Steffen Robertson and Kirsten (U.S.).
