a road and drainage ditch have been constructed at approximately the 7100
foot elevation. The expansion will be constructed in this manner to allow
the site currently being utilized for road surface material to remain accessable
as long as possible.
If any portion of the Streeter drainage is blocked during construc-
tion, any run off water would flow down the ramp into the pit, preventing
any water from being impounded adjacent to the fill. When the fill expansion
from the west is begun, the drainage ditch will be constructed all along
the north side of the fill to provide drainage to the Streeter sediment
pond.
All hydrologic conditions that differ from the mine plan submitted
on February 5, 1981 will be re-calculated and submitted to the Division
and OSM by May 18, 1981. Also, any other maps that will be changed because
of this revision, such as spoil grading and topsoil handling, will be resub-
mitted by May 18, 1981.
Topsoil removal, spoil placement, and reclamation of the additional
spoil area will be completed in accordance with the plan submitted on February 5,
1981.
Environmental Resources
Any resources on this site that are not addressed in the February 5,
1981 application, such as soils and archeology will be completed as soon
as the surface rights are obtained, and will be submitted to the Division
by May 26, 1981.
Newspaper Advertisement
A copy of the proposed newspaper advertisement for this Technical
Revision is attached.
Permit Boundary Change
The additional area to be added to the permit boundary is described
below:
Township 3 North, Range 93 West of the 6th P.M.
Section 2: Lots 3 (9.65 acres) and 4 (41.70 acres)
Section 3: Lots 1 (41.65 acres) and 2 (41.62 acres)
