Kaiser Ventures, LLC is the <br />permittee and Mr. Mike Keegan is the contact person. His address is P.O. Box 37, Desert Center, CA <br />92239. The permit area is 187.5 acres of which 50 is Federal and 137.5 is private located <br />approximately 22 miles west of Pagosa Springs on Colorado State Highway 151, portions of Sections <br />29 and 30, T34N, R4W. Total disturbance at the mine site totals approximately 110 acres. All <br />disturbance areas have now been reclaimed. Various reclamation activities have been conducted over <br />the past 18 years on areas of the mine site as described in the permit document. <br />Limited reclamation activities were necessary during 2002. Those conducted included a noxious weed <br />control program that was conducted in mid July. Application rates and dates are included in the <br />attached reports. Due to the drought conditions at the site'and no surface water for irrigation, no hay <br />harvests of the AVF area were completed during the year. <br />Should you have questions or need additional information concerning this report, please do not <br />hesitate to contact Mr. Mike Keegan at Kaiser or let me know. <br />Sincerely, <br />Jerry H.
