I. WATER USE ANALYSIS <br />• Water use at the Keenesburg Mine during 1992 <br />included the following: <br />- Office and shop potable water <br />- Dust suppression <br />A. Office, shop and washdown usage <br />Potable and wash water was supplied from deep <br />well X24650-F (LFN ~1). Approximately .50 <br />acre feet of water was used to supply shower <br />and sanitary facilities. According to the well <br />meter reading, the total water used was 1.84 <br />acre feet. <br />B. Dust suppression <br />Dust suppression was limited to the ash dump <br />and the access road to the ash dump. Standard <br />procedure was to cover ash disposal areas with <br />overburden rather than suppressing dust with <br />water. <br />C. Evaporation <br />There was no water surface areas exposed in <br />• 1992 for any extended period of time. The <br />reclamation of B-Pit has eliminated pit inflow <br />of tributary water.
