We have conducted our review, and request the following
information:
1. Please provide the species of vegetation used in the restricted interseeding
performed in 1995 (Rule 2.04.13(1)(e)).
2. Rule 2.04.13(1)(f) requires a description of the location, number of acres,
and dates of planting for all previously revegetated areas. According to
past Annual Reclamation Reports, there were two main periods of
reclamation at CCM No. 1: the period ending in November of 1989, by
when the main mine disturbance was regraded, topsoiled, and reseeded;
and the period ending in February of 1992, by when the sediment ponds
were regraded, topsoiled, and reseeded.
Please submit a revised map that identifies the two areas associated with
these reclamation periods, in addition to the five small areas already
identified.
Please do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions regarding our review. We
would appreciate a response by March 29, 1996.
Since ly,
~ / ~ ~,
Daniel I. Hernandez ~/
Senior Environmental Protection Specialist
M:~OSSWnmU(obh~.dih
