Quality Assurance
Three duplicate samples were collected during 1989 for laboratory quality
assurance purposes. Two of the duplicate samples were taken at surface water
monitoring station TR-C in July and September while the other was taken at
ground water monitoring well TR-3 in May (sample dates in the appendix with an
* indicate duplicate samples). Results of the duplicate analyses were not
favorable for all parameters tested. The duplicate sample taken at TR-C in
July showed nine of twelve parameters to be within t 5~ of the original values
obtained. The duplicate sample taken at TR-C in September showed eight of 12
parameters to be within ± 58 of the original values obtained. She duplicate
sample taken at TR-3 showed eight of ten parameters to be within ± 56 of the
original values obtained.
VIi. Spring and Seep Survey
A survey was conducted on May 5, 1989 to located springs and seeps which
may be developing at the base of the ridge along Trout Creek from NPDES
discharge point No.003 northward to the base of West Ridge. A total of 6
springs and 9 seeps were located as a result of the survey (see enclosed map).
Only one spring had sufficient flow to be of interest. That spring is
currently monitored on a regular basis and is designated as NPDES discharge
point No. 006. All of the other springs and seeps were located along the
downslope portion of South-of-Shop area. None of the springs or seeps located
along the base of West Ridge noticed in previous years were observed in 1989.
1
