REV. 3 <br />PAGE 4 <br />INSPECTIDN DF THE SPDIL PILE L FACILITIES <br />Construction of the sedimentation pond and site preparation of <br />the spoil area will completed under the direction of a <br />Registered Professional Engineer. The facilities will be so <br />Certified in accordance with sections 4.05.6 and 4.10 of the <br />Rules and Regualations for Coal Mining. The spoil pile will be <br />inspecte quarterl to ensure proper drainage, construction, and <br />compaction of fhe ile. Insitu compaction tests will be taken <br />quarterly to verify proper -compaction of_the_ pile.- " h° <br />! esign slopes of the pile, stability will not be a concern - <br />u` ~-- -- ---- - -- - - - ----- -- --- -- ~-- --- -- <br />RECLAMATION OF THE SITE <br />The site will generally be reclaimed as shown to the "Reclaimed <br />Site" drawing enclosed. Final reclamation and configuration will <br />be a function of the amount of waste generated during the life of <br />the mine. Material available on site and that stockpile from <br />stripping the spoil will be utilized to complete the final 2 foot <br />cover on the spoil pile and blend the site to best conform to the <br />surrounding terrain. Slopes will be left in roughened <br />condition, Ieaving the grazer imprints to hold moisture and <br />retain seed. Seeding and mulching shall be in accordance with <br />section 2.05.4 of the application. Seed mixtures may be altered <br />pending an investigation by the Soil Conservation Service into <br />sodium tollerant seed mixtures. If a desirable mixture is found <br />which may have a better success rate than the surrounding <br />reclamation, the mixtures will be submitted for approval by the <br />Division. There is no top soil available on the proposed site for <br />reclamation of the area. <br />BOND REQUIREMENTS <br />It is estimated that reclamation of the site can be accomplished <br />with a D-8 size dozer working 40 hours. (This includes filling <br />the sedimentation pond). Local owner operators are available <br />and qualified to accomplish the work.
