Enclosed is our annual <br />fee of $688.00 on check number 14912. This years mining activity was concentrated on the <br />upper 1 /3 portion of the slope. W e did not go over the crest of the ridge most of the activity was <br />directed towards lowering benches that were already in existence in this portion of the gravel pit. <br />Next year we will go over the crest of the ridge aitd establish the upper most cut on the east side <br />of the gravel pit. Benching the different levels will be done to comply with MSHA regulations <br />and to facilitate and ease the removal of gravel from the steep slopes. In several areas of the pit <br />the gravel and rock is too hard to rip.
