The mine is <br />operated by Mr. Howard Vagneur of Western Sand and Gravel, Inc. <br />who leases the minerals from Sievers Ranch and Development Company <br />the permitees. The economy in the Glenwood Springs/Carbondale area <br />last year didnot improve and very little new area was affected this <br />year. Mining continued on level 1 of Stage i. <br />We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report questions <br />as outlined in Section 2.41 of the Rules and Regulations. <br />2.41 (1) Mining continued in Stage I as approved in the application. <br />Western has continued to remove stockpiled material <br />processed in previous years and to mine pit run material <br />from the face of the mine. <br />(2) No reclamation was required this year. <br />(3) Not applicable. <br />(4) Not applicable. <br />(5) Not applicable. <br />(6) Not applicable. <br />(7) Mining will continue in Stage I. Western has informed <br />Sievers Ranch and Development that they expect to start <br />processing again this year. when the first level of <br />Stage I is complete they will start mining the second <br />level.
