The attached documents summarize mining and <br />reclamation activities for the year. <br />Mining continued at the Jeff Canyon Surface Mine through June 2002, when operations were <br />suspended. The total acreage of disturbance increased in 2002 to 119 acres, an increase of 12 <br />acres. Reclamation activities have been completed on Fills 9 and 7. They have been <br />backfilled, graded, topsoiled, and seeded, and associated collection ditches and ponds have <br />been established, for a total of 11.9 acres reclaimed. Fill 9 was seeded in June and Fill 7 was <br />seeded mid August with the enclosed seed mix. Additional topsoil stockpiles are currently being <br />evaluated. <br />A raptor survey was conducted on June 19, 2002, and is enclosed with this report.
