In addition, <br />we will be sensitive to local govemment concerns, os well os federal <br />govemment concerns, as they pertain to operations on (ederol lands." <br />1992 Colorado General Assembly <br /> ^ The 1992 General Assembly passed House Bill 1223 which reorgarllzes <br /> existing responsibilities within the Department of Natural Resources. ^ The <br /> Division of M(nerals and Geology is created by the consolidation of the current <br /> Division of Mines, Mined Land Reclamation and possibly the Colorado <br /> Geological Survey. ^ In addition, the Oil and Gas Conservation Cor^mission <br /> will be administratively linked to the new Division for budgeting, planning and <br /> resource development issues. <br />^ This organizational structure will, in effect, provide one governmental focal <br />STATE of COLDRADO point for mineral and energy deveopment, policy, regulation and planning. <br /> This consolidation will greatly increase the Executive Director's ability to deal <br />OIVILON OF efiettively with energy and mineral issues within the State. The reorganization <br />MINERALS AND GEOLOGY will also to provide federal agencies, other state agencies, local governments, <br /> citizen groups and Industry with one primary contact point for information and <br />ora~.°r <br />Mfned Lond Reclamation service.
