Box 13098
Boulder, CO 80308
Dear David,:
I have searched the Colorado Natural Areas Inventory for
occurrences of rare, threatened, or exemplary plants and plant
communities in the the proposed Dowe Flats Reservoir site in T3N R70W.
Rabbit Mountain, a Boulder County Open Space preserve, is adjacent to the
proposed Dowe Flats Reservoir site. Rabbit Mountain has been proposed
for Colorado Natural Area consideration. The Colorado Natural Areas
Program 1s cooperating with the Boulder County Open Space Department in
evaluating the Rabbit Mountain Site. The Blue Rountain - Little Thompson
Fault Natural Area borders the study site on the north and 1s an
important geological feature used for research and educational purposes.
• This Natural Area is privately owned. The proposed Dowe Flats Reservoir
site contains no known rare biota and none are expected due to the site's
historical land use.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Cordially,
~1 ~~C ~ ~
Steve L.
