ATTACHMENT <br />SUBSIDENCE MONITORING REPORT <br />JANUARY - JUNE 1994 <br />CYPRUS EMPIRE EAGLE E SEAM WORKINGS <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />This report summarizes the survey results of subsidence monitoring <br />points over longwall panels in the E seam of Cyprus Empire <br />Corporation for Jan. - June 1994. Longwall mining began in 3 East <br />in August 1993. The increment of mining for this period is marked <br />on the attached map. The map shows overburden thickness, structure <br />and the monitor point labels. <br />2.0 MONITORING SCHEDULE <br />Surveys were done on schedule in March 24 and May 10 for the first <br />2 quarters. <br />3.0 MINING ADVANCE <br />The advance of the longwall is marked by month on the map. Total <br />6 month linear advance down the panel was 2490 ft. <br />4.0 SUBSIDENCE RESULTS <br />The results of the surveys are presented in the attached tables. <br />Because of ground swell due to temperature and moisture variations <br />and surveying accuracy, change of elevation of less than 0.1 ft is <br />not significant. The crack is on grazing land. <br />Empire will be filling the crack with gravel to protect the cattle. <br />The land owner agrees with this procedure. <br />
