Dept. of Natural Resources <br />Re Technical Revision <br />MLR File No. 77-36, Greeley Pit <br />Weld County, Colorado <br />This Technical Revision will not affect the amount of land <br />disturbed nor will it change the final reclamation at this <br />operation. <br />The Technical Revision calls for changing the shape of Stages <br />Three, Four and Five. The current plan breaks up the width of <br />Pond I, which is proving to be impractical. It will be easier <br />and cheaper to mine the entire width of the pit as one face with <br />mining proceeding from east to west by consecutive stages. <br />The plan calls for changing the stage lines of Stages Three, Four <br />and Five so that they will be approximately parallel with the <br />east property line. Note that the sizes of Stages Three, Four <br />and Five have not changed.
