.'.
Listed below is additional information:
1. Location and numbers of acres affected this year:
SE'„ NE';, E%„ SE', of Section 5, T 3 S, R 70 W, and SW';, NWa, AND W%2, SW'-;,
Section 4, T 3 S, R 70 W, Jefferson Co.
61 total acres, 7 operation.
2. Number of acres reclaimed this year:
Surface areas reclaimed: 1 (plus reseeded approximately 4 acres in May, 1983)
3. Number of acres in various stages of reclamation:
Acres backfilled: 1
Acres graded: 1
Topsoil acres replaced: 1
Acres revegetated: 1 surface area (9 to date).
4. Species of vegetation planted, the locations and approximate dates of planting:
Species: 20% Rye, 57 Blue Grama, 75% Wheat Grass.
This mixture is being used on all the seeding areas (level surface area, berms,
and road backslopes.)
Approximate dates of planting:
October, 1980; April, 1981, October, 1981: October, 1982; May, 1983.
5. No fertilizers required to date.
6. Appraisal of the success of reclamation efforts:
We feel our established seed areas are going to again be successful. We have
found that rolling or compacting the seed into the topsoil is necessary to
prevent wind loss and insure a higher rate of ground cover.
7. Estimate of the number of acres to be affected this coming year:
We anticipated one acre will be started beginning this fall season. This
acre will be a continuation to the west from the berm area on the extreme
east end of the property. Hauling and leveling of the topsoil will again
commence within the next few months prior to seeding.
Respectfully submitted,
ASPHALT P//A//VING CO.
~/ ~ ~~'S~
V ~
Je Keller
Project Manager
JK:nb
Encl.
