Past records show that the annual date for the pit is February 22nd of <br />each year. The financial warranty for the permit is $116,469 and the total permit area <br />is 216.10 acres. <br />The following information is provided to comply with C.R.S 34-32.5-116 or C.R.S 34- <br />32-116: <br />(1) No new areas have been disturbed. The gravel operator has extracted gravel from a <br />new area shown on the attached map, which is approximately 5.3 acres. This entire area <br />was previously disturbed by past mining operations but a considerable amount of new <br />material has been extracted near the power poles that serve the site. Some of this <br />material may be virgin gravel although the surface had been previously disturbed. The <br />poles have been avoided by leaving a small flat area on top and sloping the in-place <br />gravel to the bottom of the pit, which is approximately 25 feet below. The truck scales <br />have been moved slightly to the south and the trailers for the Willits area have also <br />been moved as shown. <br />The gravel operator has installed settling ponds as shown from which silt is being <br />excavated and stockpiled. A new silt stockpile area is shown on the Annual Report Map <br />as the 2006 Stockpile area. This area requires some additional work to install a ditch <br />leading to Willits Pond #4 to ensure that no runoff from this pile leaves the site with <br />no sediment control.
