• Figure 4-2 illustrates the 1997 pregnant liquor results and Figure 4-3 represents monthly <br />production for 1997. <br />As shown in operation results (Section 4.3.1) production and processing was pertormed for <br />twelve months of the year. The production was switched from cavity #2A to cavity #3A, <br />from August through September 1997 to reduce chloride impacts. <br />The balance of injection and recovery rates of cavities #2A, 3A, 4 have been continuously <br />monitored using fluid level indicators installed in existing and recently drilled Dissolution <br />Surtace aquifer monitoring wells. These wells are located near each of the active cavities. <br />The fluid level data is used to adjust the injection/recovery flow balance as necessary to <br />• return or maintain the Dissolution Surtace aquifer potientiometric level at pre-mining <br />historical levels. <br />As of the end of the calendar year 1997, no movement had been recorded in the <br />subsidence well located over cavity #4. No detectable movement was expected with only <br />109,969 tons extracted, of the 242,000 tons permitted. <br />~~ <br />17 <br />
