DMG Permit No. M-88-112 <br />June Monthly Sampling <br />Dear Mr. Dillie: <br />All required sampling was completed during the month of June. <br />The NANO/RO water plan[ operated intermittently during the month. A total of 11,676,600 gallons of <br />water (35.84 acre feet) was treated and discharged into Rito Seco during the month of June. <br />All surface water stations were inspected daily and RS-4 and RS-6 was found to be dry. <br />Vacuum on the lysimeters was verified and no water was present to sample. <br />The piezometers on the main embankment of the tailing impoundment were checked on 28 June, the <br />piezometers were dry or contained below 12 inches of water. <br />The west pit piezometers were measured Tor depth to water on June 28, 2001, with the following <br />results: <br />BF-1 was 29.24 ft., BF-2 was 32.82 ft., BF-4 was 26.25 ft. and BF-6 was 32.23 ft. The other <br />piezometers in the West Mine area were also checked with the following result: PW-1 was 29.22 ft., <br />PW-2 was 29.53 ft., PW-3 was 36.62 ft. and PW-4 was 30.35 ft. <br />The underdrain was measured at approximately 42 gpm. <br />The collection pond leak detection system was pumped on 29 June 2001; the leak was approximately <br />2.48 gpad. The collection pond has been pumped twice weekly to maintain a small volume of water. <br />No holes in the liner have been found [o repair. <br />The seeps remain dry. <br />With DMG approval a total of 2,139,600 gallons (6.57 acre feet) of brine water was pumped from the <br />evaporation system collection ponds to the tailings impoundment. <br />A SUBSIDIARY OF BA7TLE MOUNTAIN GOLD COAfPAN}' <br />P.O.
