DMG Permit No. M-88-112 <br />Monthly Sampling <br />Dear Mr. Dillie <br />Enclosed are the analytical reports from Sangre De Cristo Labs ,Paragon labs and STL labs for the <br />recent bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly sampling period as specified in the <br />April 1992 Abatement Plan. The cross-reference table between sample identification numbers, <br />sample types and sample locations is also attached. As specified in TR-006, calculated free and <br />wad cyanide values for the process point samples are enclosed. <br />All required sampling was completed. Analyses that have been received are enclosed and those <br />that have not been received will be forwarded to you as soon as they are sent to me. Field and <br />rinse blanks were collected as part of the QA/OC and are also included here. <br />The NANO/RO water treatment plant operated intermittently during the month. A total of <br />15,371,500 gallons of water was heated and discharged into Rito Seco during the month of March. <br />Work continued on the stormwater diversion on Waste Rock "C" and the project is approximately <br />98% complete. <br />All surface water stations were inspected and RS-4 and RS-6 were found to be dry. <br />Vacuum on the lysimeters wos verified and no water was present to sample. <br />when we checked the piezometers on the main embankment of the tailings impoundment on <br />3/31 /00, the piezometers were dry or contained below 12 inches of water. <br />The two west pit piezometers were measured for depth to water on 3/31 /00, with the following <br />result: BF-1 was 25.98 ft and BF-2 was 29.55 ft. The other piezometers in the West Mine area were also <br />checked with fhe following result: PW-1 was 26.80 ft, PW-2 was 27.08 ft, PW-3 was 34.95 ft and PW-4 <br />was 30.81 ft. <br />The underdrain was measured at approximately 38 gpm <br />A SUBSIDIAR}' OF BATTLE MOUNTAIN GOLD COh1PAN}' <br />P.O.
